Virtual Zen provides a way for you to move your entire computer or server to the cloud and access everything you have or do on your computer – from anywhere, anytime, and from any device. This includes your operating system, programs and software, configurations and settings, files you or your associates use and share, EVERYTHING. You get the convenience and peace of mind knowing that everything you do is always available, no matter where you are, because it is not tied to a physical computer at your office or home. It is always backed up and will NEVER fail due to hardware. Everything works as though you were using it on your local computer but without the constraints and risks of actually being installed there.
What does Virtual Zen do?
We provide a combination of the above services that we like to call ‘Office as a Service’, ‘Server as a Service’, or ‘Peace of Mind as a Service’. Rather than providing you custom written software accessed via a web browser, we provide you whatever software you want (desktop software or web software), accessed via a virtual desktop computer. Your favorite desktop software is now available in the cloud.
It’s accessible from any device, exactly the way you’re already used to using it, just like it was installed on your own computer, except you can get it anywhere without installing it. Instead of providing you hardware that you don’t know what to do with, we provide you a complete solution from A to Z and will customize it for you however you want.
Rather than a single desktop that you need to manage independently, we provide you a virtual workplace that all your users can access, each with their own desktop. Security and file sharing has never been so easy. Combined with daily backup, security, anti-virus, web-filtering (if requested), managed updates, and easy expandability. In short, we provide Virtual Zen.
Do I need additional security services?
Virtual Zen provides all the security services you need. These enterprise-grade security features are likely better than you currently have – or will ever have in a local computing environment at your home or office. Virtual Zen security includes the best in enterprise level anti-virus software, remote monitoring and management, automatic notifications and IP blocking for failed login attempts, and much more.
Also, all Virtual Zen services are accessed via Microsoft’s industry leading, secure RDP protocol. Our RDP is 128-bit encrypted, much like a banking website.
How much does Virtual Zen cost?
Your virtual computer or server pricing is based on the amount of hard drive space, memory, and the number of processors needed to support your work. You pay for what you use in computer resources, and you’ll have the peace of mind knowing that you’ll never have to pay for more computing power than you actually need. When you
need more computer resources your system can be upgraded instantly and will never be constrained by physical computer hardware limitations. Our starter package supports 5 users for basic computing needs (word processing, spreadsheets, email, QuickBooks, etc.) for around $399 / month including licensing. Packages can be customized by using our cost estimator or via a phone call to one of our Virtual Zen team members.
What do you need to get started with Virtual Zen?
Any device! You can access your virtual computer or server from nearly any device that can connect to the internet. Because your virtual computer does not rely on the device’s own computing power, you’ll save lots of money by not needing expensive local computer and networking hardware or know-how.
How is my data backed up?
Your entire virtual computer runs on an array of multiple, redundant hard drives, and is also backed up twice a day to a separate storage device.
This backup includes EVERYTHING, your operating system, your settings and customization, your software and any customization of that software, your files, your stored usernames and passwords, user settings, and more. Everything that makes your computer yours is completely backed up.
Envision Virtual Zen as a way to make a complete clone every 12 hours of the physical computer you currently use at your home or office. Imagine the peace of mind knowing that even if you have a complete melt-down, your loss of productivity will be limited to the time it takes to restore that “clone” of your virtual computer, which is about 20 minutes.
How many users can use Virtual Zen in my office?
There are no limits to the number of users that can use your Virtual Zen computers and services. Multiple users can access a virtual workplace from their own desktop or mobile device.
At any time, you can add another user to your monthly subscription and all software, files, and settings, required by that user are immediately ready for them to get to work.
Is Virtual Zen compatible with mobile devices?
Virtual Zen’s virtual computers are accessible from most mobile devices including Android, Windows, and iPhone. Virtual Zen is also accessible via Windows and Mac desktop computers.
How do I ensure My Virtual Zen desktop is up to date?
When you choose your Virtual Zen plan, you can rest assured you are getting the latest and most up-to-date services the company provides in terms of operating systems and fast hardware.
The servers which support your virtual desktop will exceed the speed and performance you can get from anything but the most expensive local desktop computers. We help you achieve results faster to ensure you get maximum value from your Virtual Zen investment. Also, when you decide you want to upgrade your operating system or increase hardware performance, it’s as simple as making the request.
What is Cloud Computing?
Cloud computing is the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted in a secure data center to store, manage, and process data, and complete computing functions.
Cloud computing replaces the use of traditional local servers or personal computers. Simply put, cloud computing means storing and accessing data and programs over the Internet instead of on a local computer hard drive. The cloud is a metaphor for the Internet.
Why is Cloud Computing so popular?
In two words, reliability and scalability. Your personal computer or local server has many single points of failure. buying and integrating redundant parts for everything that can possibly fail, is both expensive and complex. Only when leveraging economies of scale (buying in bulk), does it become feasible to implement hardware redundancy. We have done exactly that, and have made these resources available to you.
